Charlie Kirk's Murder and the Dark Corners of Social Media Response
Charlie Kirk's murder has exposed America's painful double standard in how we grieve and memorialize public figures. In this candid episode, we explore the jarring contrast between NFL stadiums holding moments of silence for Kirk while Black victims of violence rarely receive similar recognition. When flags are lowered to half-staff for some but not others, what message does that send about whose lives we collectively value?
Shifting to lighter territory, we break down the contrasting album rollout strategies between Drake and Cardi B. While Drake opts for select interviews and single releases, Cardi's grassroots approach has her literally on the streets selling CDs and riding subways to promote her music. This old-school hustle earned our respect, with one host noting: "She's living that New York life." We cap off with a spirited debate about the song of the summer (is it "Folded" or "Outside"?) and explore TI's surprisingly extensive dating history.

Speaker 2:What's going on, peeps? I know it's time for another episode of the Mixed Vibes Podcast, your favorite amateur podcast. You can find us wherever you get your podcasts. I'm your boy, young Quaggy TJ.
Speaker 1:You know what it is, you know what you do. Welcome back. It's your girl, trace Linton, in the building.
Speaker 3:Hey man, what do it is? You already know the best show.
Speaker 1:Boy. Hey man, what's up how you living Young black and trying to get some money.
Speaker 3:I feel it, I feel it Quag what it do boy.
Speaker 2:I'm cool man. Y'all know me.
Speaker 3:Bet. So we typically start off with eggs germs. We do have eggs germs, but we're going to get to that in a minute. We're going to do the heavy stuff first get it in, get it out the way they found it wrong. But whatever, we'll do the heavy stuff.
Speaker 1:This is American.
Speaker 3:There's only some shit going on. It was a school shooting the day this happened. We got talked about because of this happening. Yeah, school shooting the same day, all right, unless you've been on social media.
Speaker 3:You have seen that Charlie Kirk was murdered in Utah during a rally. You're not familiar with Charlie Kirk. Many the people I have talked to that you know they really follow this man. They call him an activist. He's a very religious man and I'm just going to leave it at that. So, like I said, the man was murdered in Utah.
Speaker 3:There's been a lot of comments, a lot of back and forth about his murder and what he stands for and him as a person Me. I ain't going to speak on him as a person, but I am going to speak on a lot of the things that have been said after, especially the conversations I've had with people of Caucasian descent and you know, like I said, the had with people of Caucasian descent and you know, like I said, the things because of being a Christian, the things I have seen about LGBTQ. I know some more letters, but I'm just going to keep it right there because I might end up offending somebody if I try to get all of them. Yeah, I'm not going to keep it at LGBTQ, but before I go, I'm going to open the floor to you all when are you going to go first?
Speaker 3:All right, Jared, go ahead If you got anything. If not, it's cool Because you've been outside, so you don't know nothing I have.
Speaker 1:I've been a little sabbatical for the weekend, needed to recoup and reset, and that's what I did. Um, I didn't know anything about Charlie Kirk before we brought it up for the second show, um, but it didn't take long to realize that you know he's an openly racist man. So I was a black woman, but it didn't take long to realize that you know he's an openly racist man. So, as a Black woman, the main people, the main demographic you chose to insult, I didn't expect to be any form of sympathetic. None of you shouldn't just die openly for your opinion opinion but you also need to watch your mouth sometimes. But that's just what the situation reads to me as a whole again, because I don't have a whole bunch of pieces to it. But what were you expecting me to come to and say about this? Again, openly racist white man getting what any white person would have done to a black person with an open mind. Granted, his opinion was wrong and stupid and blatantly racist. Yeah, that's it. Like I said, you ain't in. Blatantly racist? Yeah, let's see.
Speaker 3:Like you said, you ain't, you've been, you've been outside, you've been living life, so you ain't know all about the stuff that was said or what had happened. George was on a helicopter. He was. I'll keep that. We're going to talk about that post-plot, go ahead.
Speaker 2:There's been a whole lot of dancing on the grave going on. Now why I am not? You know I don't agree with bruh's politics and beliefs and whatnot. I still think we got to have some class. I mean, I know the new thing is we don't even let niggas get, you know, put in the ground yet before we start clowning. Can we at least give it like a 24 hour grace period next time, Like, okay, y'all got Hulk Hogan. That shit was hilarious. The Charlie Kirk shit honestly, after a while it became a little much, and then his wife posted some stuff, and then they got on her and it became funny. Then too, can we chill on the dancing on the grave, though? Can we just?
Speaker 2:there was no happy medium. It was either dancing on the grave or these crackers really sad. I mean these. I'm saying I got on. Look, I was on Twitter nothing but jokes. Okay, cool, I get on Facebook, nothing but tears. I seen the uh, a couple of the funeral things you know with the flowers and the roses and or the angel wings. I seen a couple of them and I was like, well time to get up off of here. I thought I got rid of all y'all, all these. I'm crying over a man I never met. What Crying Y'all acting like this was y'all MLK right here?
Speaker 1:It was to them. Oh, my God.
Speaker 3:It was.
Speaker 2:I'm just saying this is more like they. You know they, uh young DT. He was gonna be the next president. Alright man, let's calm down, but I feel it. Respect it. You know what I'm saying. That's how you feel. The next president? Alright man, let's calm down, but I feel it. Respect it. You know what I'm saying. That's how you feel, but I will speak for it. Like I said, I ain't going to speak for the people. What I'm telling y'all is hey, y'all cool the jokes to the Look. At least, if we not going to do the full 24, let's go 12. This man got shot at 2, 3 o'clock. Let the joke start the next day at 3 am, 2 am. What happened to Vamp? That's what Vamp likes used to be for you be up all night. You get your jokes off, then niggas will see them in the morning. There's so many jokes being made I can't keep up. I keep seeing new ones. I gotta laugh. I'm sorry, I'm not. Condolences to his family, though. This man had a wife and kids.
Speaker 2:You know all that good stuff, but I want to send a special shout out to his chocolate drop His queen, Candace Owens. Yeah, nah, they was. That was her ride or die, apparently. I didn't know, I was unfamiliar with the game, but that was her dog. You feel me? That was the nigga that put her on the usher, was it usher?
Speaker 3:I don't know, bro. I don't know nothing about none of this?
Speaker 1:No idea. I'm sure he labeled her an ignorant nigga too. I don't know, I don't know, I don't know All right, then Good question.
Speaker 3:I'm good man, all right then All right, then Go on a little tangent for a minute. So here we go. First, it's not okay and it's not acceptable to acceptable to speak ill on the devil. That ain't my bad, I ain't gonna wish bad upon. I don't wish bad upon nobody. Like I said, we're not gonna dance on the ground. I don't wish bad upon nobody because I don't want to have to answer to the as a Christian man. Let me rephrase that, attempting to be very Christian man, I'm a work in progress. I'll be the first to admit I don't want to have to answer to that later. That ain't my bad. So I'm not going to do that and I don't. I wish other people wouldn't do that. Like, go ahead and say it, man, y'all, don't get y'all jokes off the internet. Don't get they jokes off. That's what the internet do. Give it some time. Don't be making memes of the video of the man getting shot at. Come on, we do have to have some type of respect, some type. Whatever he said, he stand on, what he stand on, that's on him. We don't have to go to that level or whatnot.
Speaker 3:Next thing so my biggest thing I came to realize through this whole situation wasn't so much about him, but more so about always remembering that you got to watch out for the people who love black culture and love black sex. But when it's time for black issues, or issues that's in the black community, they tend to have a blind eye for or not just black. You know, whoever we offended but I'm speaking as black men they have a have a blind eye for it. I said it earlier, I said it outside for myself. I said, yeah, you got to watch out for them, black women who love nigga dick but don't love nigga issues Not saying I don't love mine, but there's a lot of them. That is, you got to watch out for the white friends who say, yeah, I support him and the stuff that he stand on, because he gave everybody a platform. Yeah, but he also used that platform to spread a bunch of evil takes. So I'm, he can have his evil takes. But do you agree with those evil takes? The people who was crying, the people that was crying out for him and doing all these social media posts and all of that. But if you knew everything he said, because I was talking to him they said he was one of the few people that I almost 100% agree with.
Speaker 3:Did you know what he said? Well, you should do some more research before you assume something without you know. You don't know. You gotta have a full opinion. It's a Google search, it ain't that hard, and it'd be different if it was one thing, maybe two things, hell, I'd give you three. I was in the double digits before not too long. How many times we supposed to turn the blind eye today?
Speaker 1:so, in closing, I just want to say can I make a quick point before you go ahead? It only took about 5 minutes to google search content on this man and, aside from his death, the first thing you find is something that is blatantly offensive, and you, being the kind of person to put that kind of content out and thrive on that kind of content, is what baffles me, to what people are so disappointed about.
Speaker 3:You know all these NFL teams, all these NFL home games over Sunday and all of them had moments of silence and they recognized him and all that. Are you serious? Yeah, all before. I know the Indianapolis coach was one of them I have to look up the rest of them but only four, only four stadiums, only four teams did not have a moment of silence or put his picture on the billboard and all that on the big screen. And then Trump because he was boys, him and Trump were boys Trump said we got to do the flags of half-staff.
Speaker 3:Wow, okay, but if you go back to when Trayvon Martin died, all Barack Obama said was that could have been my son, and they said that, as the president, you shouldn't be getting involved and speak on situations like that.
Speaker 1:So it's cool what y'all doing? It's probably doing Okay, got it, got it.
Speaker 3:Got it, got it oh.
Speaker 1:Oh, this is where we live, y'all. Well, this is where we live, y'all, this is where we live. Does that not raise anybody else's blood pressure like?
Speaker 3:yeah, stress me out, but it also stresses me out that it be the people around you.
Speaker 1:I'm just trying to read it be the people around other. I'm just trying to read it. It be the people around you. Other shit to worry about.
Speaker 3:Right. I guess I can go a whole tangent, because there's some stuff I know, I know, I know, because there's some stuff. Killer Mike said that I try not to look at everything as race right, because I feel like look at everything as race right, because I feel like I feel like sometimes race gets point two for the problem or the issue or the cause for everything, and sometimes it's not. A lot of times it's just people lack conversation it's God's work or they scared up with the unknown. It's not always race, but a lot of times it is race. I'm not trying to say that race ain't a big issue. It is.
Speaker 3:But Killer Mike, he talks about how one of his critics was married to a white woman and he said you criticize my black card, but you're married to a white woman and I'm married to a black woman. How can you tell me, how can you just call me out on anything? Hey, we got people out all the time on this podcast. So I'm not judging him for somebody calling somebody out for a podcast. But Killer Mike did say only a black woman knows what a black man go through and can relate. I never thought of. I heard him say that before but I never really thought about it until this incident in the conversations I had with these Caucasian people. I ain't even gonna hold you. It's the first time I ever thought like you know he did. I mean, I can see the point, you know what I mean. Like I honestly see the point Because I always believed love was love but I'm everybody.
Speaker 3:It's not to everybody, I'm for everybody okay, like I mean, that's how it was. Love was love. I'm firm. You love who you love, like I he. People have issues with gay and lesbian people and all that. I don't care who you love, it's your. What happened in your bedroom happened in your bedroom. It don't care who you love. What happened in your bedroom happened in your bedroom. It don't affect me on my day-to-day. You choose to be with a person of a different race. That don't affect me on my day-to-day. After seeing all of these comments and all this back and forth with this situation, it has made me think about what Killer Mike said. So much more so. But yeah, I do want to say a thousand prayers for that man's family, because those kids don't deserve to grow up without their father. That's just me as a human. Nobody deserves to grow up without their father. That woman lost her life for it.
Speaker 1:Whatever the case may be, Now you read the question of for these kids in the future and what you would say, what you said, that's an emotional shit you hold on to. Is that something you use to fire a change or a force of will to change? And that'll be next. That'll be on next season of America. It's the worst reality show ever and I really like to go to a commercial break.
Speaker 3:We don't get no commercial break. This is what.
Speaker 1:Can we get Obama back? Can we go to a commercial?
Speaker 3:Nah, this is a castle, not mega stream. This thing don't end.
Speaker 1:I know, I know, oh my God, this thing ain't over it again.
Speaker 3:Let me say this again this guy says get out and people don't hurt. We not condoning his death. That's not what we did. We don't wish ill or death upon nobody. Make sure that's clear, because you know people ain't going to hurt, they only going to hurt what they want to hurt. You got to make sure that you got to repeat that. I should have repeated it a couple times throughout. You know what I mean. You got it that I should have repeated it a couple times throughout.
Speaker 1:You know what I mean. You got it. They still listening, oh.
Speaker 3:All right, ben Shirts, let's lighten the mood. Let's lighten the mood a little bit. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1:Hit me with the S Jers. It's fall y'all. I just want to point out it's September. It's fall y'all. I just want to point out it's September. It's Halloween in my head Until Halloween over, then it's Christmas. That's on my birthday. It's Christmas.
Speaker 3:You know, I got a good sweatsuit already, I want you to blindly rank these scenarios. Yeah, I want you to blindly rank these scenarios. Yeah, I want you to blindly rank these scenarios. And this is about your potential mate. Okay, not like attributes of them, but deal breakers, okay, hypothetical deal breakers. First is y'all can't be friends on no social media. One, two or three.
Speaker 1:What's best, what's worst? Huh, One, two, three. What's best, what's worst?
Speaker 3:Oh um, best is one, worst is three. Like what's Ranking your deal breakers out of three? Um Us not being friends at all on social media yes, on no social media, no snap, no instagram, no facebook. He don't want your linkedin, bro, don't even know what you he don't want my channel get out my face.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so what's that? A three? It's definitely not happening. Okay, cool, I ain't nosy like that, for real. For real, it's the lack of access. I don't know. You don't know me, I don't know you. You know what I'm trying to do. Okay, cool, you know.
Speaker 3:I don't know, because I know what the next one is coming. I think it will be the easiest one. Oh, but oh, let me see sleeping in separate rooms every night, every night. Yeah, y'all cuddle for a little bit, but then, bro, get up and go. Alright, mahalo to you tomorrow hypothetically.
Speaker 1:If that man snores, I don't mind, so maybe put me somewhere in the middle. Maybe put me somewhere in the middle because I may need my rest. You know I work overnight as it is, so my schedule will be all the way fucked up.
Speaker 3:So we gonna split number two right in the middle for that so you gonna put that in number two, so that you know that's doable. All right, cool. Next one.
Speaker 1:This is my favorite thing. I'm going to still end up getting my back blown in, but if you need to go over there, that's cool. If you get up after I fall asleep. As long as I stay asleep, snoring is hard for me to sleep through most days.
Speaker 3:The last one is the best guy sleeps with you every night. Who the pets? Dogs, cats, it don't matter. Hell, it could be a tortoise, it could be a whateverise, it could be a vana. Whatever the pet is, the pet gets, the pet gets.
Speaker 1:I don't mind the dog. I don't mind the dog. It could be.
Speaker 3:So that would be your one, right? Yeah, that's your one.
Speaker 1:Is it? Three is least and one is most, or one is most?
Speaker 3:the way you added it first. Yeah, three is the worst. Alright, now that you know our three, I was about to say now that you know our three, is it still the same order? Yeah, I'll take one, two, three, same order alright, uh, quay, I'm gonna ask you the same question, but you get to know all three. It's not freddie.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry, I don't I don't know any of them because I just got bad.
Speaker 3:All right, cool, blindly rank these scenarios, uh we'll start with. I heard the last one, okay cool one, two or three, three being the worst the pets gotta sleep with y'all.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and then for me that's, that's a three no animals in the bed, like. And it's like women be hard-headed, you be like don't let the dog in the bed. They let the dog in the bed anyways. And what the dog do Pee in the bed Every. Let the dog in the bed anyways. And what the dog do Pee in the bed Every fucking time.
Speaker 3:Every fucking time. What's that. You don't have your feet on About dog, about animal. You're in my fucking bed.
Speaker 2:No, I have.
Speaker 3:Not you, jerry, I'm thinking, not you.
Speaker 2:I know Quag got a dog, so I know, nah, that nigga ain't never like, maybe like sitting in my lap when he was a puppy, but not like you know nothing. Crazy Nigga. I did have a dog fucking Jax. Jax would like taunt your ass. Jax would walk down the hall and turn around, look at you and then start pissing. He was one of them, man, I tell you.
Speaker 3:I ain't never lay hand man. We don't pet a Peter. What's it, peter? Is that the name, peter Chill?
Speaker 2:I ain't gonna lie. I gave Jax a piece of my mind.
Speaker 3:There we go.
Speaker 2:BTA bro.
Speaker 3:All right, bro, they know what that mean. Good All right. But the next one was y'all sleep in separate rooms.

Speaker 3:Yeah, that's it. Y'all cuddle, do the do, and then she get up and be like alright.
Speaker 2:Alright, bruh, yeah, yeah, uh, and then she get up and be like all right, or vice versa.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's a two for me, that's going to have to be two, all right, and then the last one is y'all can't be. Y'all not friends on social media. No, social media.
Speaker 2:Oh, that's cool. Yeah, no, that's perfect, that's perfect that, actually, that's cool.
Speaker 3:Yeah, nah, that's perfect. That's perfect. That actually works for you, because you only get one social media for real. Well, you got the other one. You know, dave, do you even have the other one, steve?

Speaker 2:Yeah, I've been coming up with some new continents since I was in school. I ain't never heard of that one.
Speaker 3:No, it ain't, it's the same one Oceania. Australia and New. Zealand.
Speaker 2:Oh Well, Australia's the biggest. I didn't know what that corner was Okay okay. Okay, australia is the continent and the country, but Australia is the biggest country, right?
Speaker 3:Yeah, Australia is the biggest country.
Speaker 2:They call it Oceania, because I ain't never heard that before. This is news to me.
Speaker 3:It's New Zealand, and then it's some small islands over there. That's why they call it Oceania. All right then.
Speaker 1:What's that knowledge cube? Learn some y'all.
Speaker 3:The biggest in Europe, not Russia.
Speaker 2:After Russia GB.
Speaker 3:Nope, it's actually directly separate from Russia and they got war right now. There's been going on for like three years oh the. Ukraine, yep yeah, last one.
Speaker 1:Asia also.
Speaker 3:Yeah, I was going to say not Russia, but good job, drake. Yes, it is China, because technically Russia covers both Asia and Europe. Alright, back. Entertainment news Drake and Cardi B are both dropping albums real soon yeah, cardi, she pushing that shit on a train at all. I'm about to pick me the vinyl, so we're going to talk about the rollouts and I want to say this, Juris repeat what you said when I told you about the Drake rollout.
Speaker 1:Oh yo, I didn't even know. I didn't see no promo for a Drake album before. That's news to me.
Speaker 3:Drake has been on multiple interviews a lot with non-hip hop, but he's done a bunch of interviews. He's dropped three songs. What Did I Miss? He dropped a joint with Central C and D&E. I think the last one was entitled Iceman. I believe, like Drake said, cardi has been outside. She's been on the corners of New York selling CDs. She also I don't know if it's Uber, eats or one of those websites that you get the food delivered. You can actually get Cardi's album delivered. She was also seen on the subway promoting Cardi's outside trying to promote this album. Drake is too, in a way, quay. Did you know Cardi was coming out with an album?
Speaker 2:Yeah, I knew Cardi was coming out. I thought it was already out.
Speaker 3:It's uh, I have to fight. Check it End of September.
Speaker 2:What is it? I'm the problem Am I?
Speaker 1:the problem? Am I the drama? Am I the drama?
Speaker 2:Am I the drama? There we go. Is she pregnant? Is she?
Speaker 3:pregnant. No, the features for Cardi's album has been released. She got Summer Walk on her. She got Selena Gomez, kalani Lizzo, tyler Cash, corbin, janet Jackson and Meg Thee Stallion Even though I think the Meg Thee Stallion joint is the joint that had been out for a long time, so it ain't like a new party and Meg joint. Oh.
Speaker 1:I'm excited for that Janet Jackson joint y'all. It's probably just like a voiceover feature, but if it's a real joint I'm pumped.
Speaker 3:Oh, I think Janet might give her one. How do y'all feel these rollouts are going? You already said you ain't no drinkers. Have one. Speak on the Cardi rollout. What do you think?
Speaker 1:I'm always happy to see Cardi outside. The one thing about Cardi she can do what the fuck she wants and I love that about her Her on the street like Poppy with the incense was giving. I wish I could have pulled up to see Cardi. I was checking the city she was going to be in. She's not coming this way and I'm not going to Atlanta for it. I'm excited if my album are dropped. That gives a reason to go on tour too. We love a concert. I booked my room, I took my days off. I am this close to breathing gold y'all and I have my ticket paid for Manifestant Manifestant. I'm excited to see Carter's project.
Speaker 3:So you would say that the Dray rollout is failing because you heard nothing about it.
Speaker 1:I mean, I guess this counts as hearing about it, so we'll see how much it pops up on my algorithm now, because it could be that too the algorithm's not, you know, promoting it to everybody. You know, now, I got to wait and see if Kendrick's going to be in the wings. It looks real hard to hear him chanting. My step, my step, my step. But that's just me.
Speaker 3:Very, without a pocket. What? What'd you think about the rollouts?
Speaker 2:I respect what Cardi's doing, getting out here. I mean, she got the. This is probably like the cheapest way for her to make the most money. If your promo is just you riding to different cities, standing on the corner, you got your blanket out. Standing on the corner, you got your blanket out there on the ground, how much does that really cost, unless you already done, blew through your promo budget and now you just got to do what you got to do. I respect it, though. Taking away from the fact that she pregnant too, that's crazy.
Speaker 2:Y'all keep saying she ain't man, she trying to hide something.
Speaker 1:She did say, she wants more kids, y'all.
Speaker 2:She trying to hide something, trying to hide who the fact is the daddy is. That's what it is.
Speaker 1:We should wait until after the tour. Let the album vault sit after tour is Wait until after the tour. Let the album go Sit after tour dates. They should probably be on.
Speaker 2:But as far as the Drake rollout goes, what does a Drake rollout traditionally look like? Not this, I mean. I'm pretty sure it looks the same.
Speaker 3:I was gonna say his last rollout. He kinda did the same thing. He didn't interview with your typical hip hop bitch you don't know who fuck with him.
Speaker 1:Now you got him I don't know.
Speaker 2:I mean, it is what it is. Drake gonna drop niggas gonna listen to it and claim they got it for they sister, like that's just how it's gonna go. I mean take it or leave it, we gonna be there. It's been what since with 21? 21 leave it. We gonna be there. It's been what Since with 21? Or did he have something after that he had?
Speaker 3:the party next door joint.
Speaker 2:Which I have still not gotten back to.
Speaker 3:Him and party next door had a joint. I want to say that was early this year or late. That was early this year.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it was cold I was with you.
Speaker 3:We'll see.
Speaker 2:I want to say that was early this year. Late, that was early this year. Yeah, it was cold, that was what it is. We'll see no high expectations for it. I mean, I feel like we're at the point where we got to stop. Not where we got to stop, but the man's almost 20 years in the game. Yeah, at some point where are we? Like you know, like we did for Wayne After Wayne's quarter four, all right, nothing else matters, you got your singles, you got this, you got that. Where is Drake's point where we stop, even you know, measuring his success? We stop checking for the, not even checking for the rollout. But I'm saying, like we getting a Drake album, whether it's good or not, we getting a Drake album, because I can remember the last couple we was talking about, oh, this one ain't this, this ain't that. I think we reaching that point, because now we're criticizing the rollout. I mean, we're not, but we are. It's the topic of the conversation. Drake's rollout kind of weak, is it? It's just me, though, I don't know.
Speaker 1:I don't know, We'll see. Though I'm telling you it'll pop up. Now, who knew? Uh, he didn't know at all. Well, see, you know, I'm telling you, don't pop up now.
Speaker 3:So on the Drake rollout, like you said, it's kind of similar to the last one. Well, kind of what he was doing, he interviewed with non-social heads social, uh, hip-hop heads. Uh, I think the reason for me Cardi's rollout she got a bunch of songs that have been released over the past couple years that's going to be on this album. That she's going to get counted as for sale. That's one thing. Drake has released new music. What Did I Miss is going to be on there. I think the last one. I forgot what the last one was called, which one. I think that was which one. It was a song called which one. I think the music for Drake. It's just me speaking. It's me speaking After the Kendrick beat.
Speaker 3:Everybody's looking to see what Drake's next solo album is going to do. Is he going to switch it up? Is he going to run to the Atlanta people for the singles? Is he going to do the same stuff that he was doing? And I feel like he's the three songs that I've heard that came out. He's trying to do everything the opposite way and not speak into his core. I feel like after the, after the beef man, kind of stick to what you've been doing, that you've been killing, that you have been, that you've been doing Like cause that Central Sea joint man. I mean it was a song. You know what I mean? It was a song. It was something different. What Did I Miss was good, but what Did I Miss kind of defeated the point because Drake was outside the whole time, so you didn't really miss nothing. You had dropped the album with Party Next Door.
Speaker 3:So I really want to hear this Drake. I want to hear the Drake album obviously more than the Party album One, because I want to see what Drake actually get on here to talk about what he going to rap about. It's supposedly a red button. Drake's going to expose a bunch of people on the sound. I want to see if that actually comes out. The Party rollout, I think, is dope because it goes back to what people used to do. People used to be outside selling CDs. They used to be outside trying to get people to own. You know what I mean. She own a subway. Cardi's really living that. She's from New York. She's living that New York life or what somebody from Louisville sees that New York life being. So she's living that. I think that party rollout's dope. I also think it's creative. It's something completely different. Hell more people should. More people should do be more creative in their rollout.
Speaker 1:The premiere song on the album is that outside joint. That's been popping all summer and the party's outside with it. You got that off. It's always a good time to see Bart. We were watching her anyway. All that trial shit, all that war shit. We were trying to see what the party was up to anyway. And now it's been a long hour and guys are like you guys got her into a game. I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited. Oh my god, I already have a part of me now. I got both.
Speaker 3:That first one again and the thing with the Cardi album I want to see is it as good as the first one?
Speaker 3:that's what everyone's gonna be thinking, but it's hard it's hard to live up like as she go through the hell, her and Bryce Tiller. Their first album was classics, I think. If you know, if it ain't as good as the people gonna turn on. I wanna see, I wanna see that. Are they still gonna rock the part? Speaking of speaking of part. She did have a song. Outside. It's September, the first story getting cold. So, jers I to know what you think, what is the song of the summer? I have a few contenders. First was Party Chris Brown, it depends. Even though Residuals was kind of you know what, I mean, it was kind of hit too. Kalani Foden is also a big contender on that list.
Speaker 1:She's re-merged it a couple of times. We've had a couple of other artists mix into it. It's definitely gotten good circulation since the drop, so yep. Next one other artists mix into it. It's definitely got good circulation since the drop, so yep.
Speaker 3:Next one. So I'm just going to give you those three, If you got any more.
Speaker 1:I mean Mutt got a lot of traction this summer. It did Burning Blue, Nokia I'm not counting those. I heard that one in the summer, so I'm not it. I heard that one when you were in the summer, so I'm not it. Took me a minute to catch up. I'd like to keep it in rotation but I can't hear it, so I'm sure someone thinks it's on this summer. Okay.
Speaker 3:There's a lot of songs that popped off this summer. Sure, what say you?
Speaker 1:I gave it to. If we're gonna do somebody's song this summer which one sorry. I'll give it to outside for the song this summer. It really was when you were my niggas. I'm trying to find it. It was poetry and motion and that's what we're so excited about right now. At least personally, I like her music. I do, and I'm seeing, you know, could I put them in another project? It never disappoints me with a single, so I'm not surprised. Do you have Bad Bunny on this one? Bad Bunny wasn't on the feature list.
Speaker 3:Nah, it didn't appear on the feature list. That's all For me. I ain't gonna lie. Folded was a joint.
Speaker 1:Folded is a joint, it's gonna clock in too. Summer dropped a song at the beginning of the summer called Spend it. It's very much flowing with her fuck y'all and y'all bullshit lifestyle. We should get another album off of her. Her album is going to drop soon too. I think it's October, summer, october Summerween, if you will.
Speaker 3:I'm going to go with Folded Jersey's gone. I'm going to read it if you will. Yeah, I'm going to go with Folded Jersey, corn with Outside. With that being said, without further ado.
Speaker 2:Today's edition of Hot Thoughts is brought to you by London Pound Cake. She's back. You feel me, queen Elizabeth, on the back. You feel me, queen Elizabeth, on the bag. You feel me RIP. I know we brought up. Y'all said the mafia thing. Marlon Wayans was on there. Y'all seen Marlon. Who else was on there? Tisha Campbell I think this might be O-Head Snoop was on there. Wiz Wiz, yeah, wiz was on there.
Speaker 3:Kalani? Did you already say Kalani?
Speaker 2:Nah, nah, nah nah. I don't know who that is. I do what I don't. If you were to show me three pictures of three women, I probably could pick out which one she is. If you were to show me three pictures of three women, I probably could pick out which one she is, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't know that woman. I'm sorry when she arguing with somebody in the Chick-fil-A drive-thru one time that's what I remember her for.
Speaker 3:You got memories of people that I know nothing about.
Speaker 2:I'm saying she was arguing with some little kid in the drive-thru At Chick-fil-A, but maybe it's not her, maybe it's also could be Carucci, because I be getting them mixed up.
Speaker 1:Damn, they're not that similar. They're not, they just got K names.
Speaker 2:I'm saying, how many more Ks is it? Shout out Karuchi too. She with Dion right.
Speaker 3:No idea. Yes, but it ain't been confirmed. But yes, I thought they did just confirm it. Nah, they keep both denying it. That's what's up, but she was not crying when he asked her Come on.
Speaker 2:All right, well, don't know how he bagged her. Yeah, somebody said something about Central C. Is that a name? Did I hear that name? Yes you did, what does he do?
Speaker 3:He's a rapper. He's a rapper Central.
Speaker 2:C was sitting next to Sabrina Carpenter at the VMAs and she was looking all scared until he pulled out that Nintendo DS. He bagged her with a Nintendo DS DS. He bagged her with a Nintendo DS. So I ask y'all, what's the most simplest way? Easy peasy, you done bad somebody.
Speaker 3:What I said on the pod last time walking my bank mom to the bus stop shit wait what. I shared it on the pod last time. Uh, shorty hollered at me when I, as soon as my bank mom got on the pod. Last time, shorty hollered at me as soon as my back mom got on the bus. Yep, I shared that on the pod.
Speaker 2:Never heard that before, but that's what's up.
Speaker 3:It wasn't even two pods ago, my boy. It was the last pod I heard. It was two pods ago, literally that's what's up? It's nigga half-half-thousand, don't even need me. All right, come on Jersey, what you get.
Speaker 1:Um, you need to know what this is. Right now you probably wear one of them damn anime t-shirts or wear like my Star Wars shirt Snare shit easily gets me all the time Like it's very, very changing, like oh my God, is that a? You know, if you see it? You see it. You know I tell the story, blah, blah, blah, but I just be chilling, you see it. They'll say something that's pretty good.
Speaker 2:That's what's up.
Speaker 1:That's pretty good, great.
Speaker 2:Lowkey, I was singing Lowkey, I was singing Charlie Wilson and Back to Shorty with the Charlie Wilson Just changed the name.
Speaker 1:Charlie Wilson Wild.
Speaker 3:Being a bird. That's the easiest way I can get Something I was going to do anyway.
Speaker 2:It used to work well for me, and then after a while it didn't work that well for me nah, I got the kids.
Speaker 3:Well, I could be over when he go to sleep. It's Friday, bro, ain't going to sleep. It don't matter, bring up my scout again, just cause shorty knew I was being a friend hey, man, I feel it.
Speaker 2:Oh oh. This is really what I wanted to do for the. I don't know why I skipped past it. It said A Moment in History. Let's go over TI's romantic saga, from Tiny Harris to Rumor Flames with Ciara and Blac Chyna. Let's explore the rapper's dating history. We've got a whole little chart here. Tip hairs Bro them charts be way off. Listen to this, though. Listen to this one.
Speaker 3:Them charts be way off. They be having people link together. Some of them people don't even be bored at the time or they be at minors, I think this one right though.
Speaker 2:I think this one right though. We got Asia Epperson, 05-07. Mimi Foss, 06-07. La'shan Dixon 95-01. Reniqua 99-01. Latoya Luckett, 2000. Tiny Harris married from 2010 to 25. I know they started dating before then, but they just got the marriage part Trina 04. Eve 05. Nia Long, 05 to 06. Hoops, 06 to 010. Keisha Cole, 06. Sierra, 07. This is the one that got me right here. Black China 9 to 10. And then they got the red label on it. Rumored. Of all the ones we really saying is a rumor, black China is the one that we like. Hold on, let's chill on that. We got Jasmine J, 3-13-14 and then Bernice Burgos, 16-17. 13 to 14, and then Bernice Burgos, 16 to 17. Nah, I'm not the best, you know, with numbers. Nah, I'm pretty good with numbers. I'm pretty good with numbers. The overlapping here is crazy 10 to 25. You married a tiny. How many people did I say after 2010? It was just laughing. Here is crazy 10 to 25,. You married a tiny. How many people did I say after 2010? It was just.
Speaker 3:Hey, what'd I say about that? As soon as you turn it around, that's not even real.
Speaker 2:I'm saying we was keeping up with this in 05 and 06. That could have been true. You could have been true. You could have dated Trina, Eve and Nia Long back to back. Who are we to really say?
Speaker 1:that this list is mine, it's a couple of months. It seems adequate.
Speaker 2:You know who got a crazy list like this? They on the list too, as a matter of fact, sierra.
Speaker 1:Isn't that long? That's true, that's true, that's true.
Speaker 2:How much time we got, george, I ain't on that note.

Speaker 2:Trey Soames.
Speaker 3:It's not confirmed.
